Bristol Choral Society present a huge
Come & Sing Verdi Requiem
with Adrian Partington, with evening concert with Bristol Concert Orchestra and soloists from Welsh National Opera

Venue: Colston Hall, Bristol

w280bcsverdi

The day will start at 10am with a choral rehearsal, followed by an afternoon rehearsal together with orchestra (Bristol Concert Orchestra) and soloists from Welsh National Opera in preparation for an informal concert at 7:30pm, all under the inspirational baton of our superb conductor, Adrian Partington.

We hope to fill the hall with singers and leave a little room for an audience for the evening performance!

The aims of the day are to:

  • Have fun and enjoy performing this thrilling piece with full orchestral accompaniment and professional soloists
  • Raise funds for 2 local charities - all profits are to be donated to BRACE (supporting research into Alzheimer's) and The Julian Trust (supporting Bristol's homeless)
  • To celebrate the opening of the Colston Hall's superb new multi-million pound foyer redevelopment

Singers of any standard are welcome - there will be plenty of singers there who know the work well to help out those who may not be so familiar with it - the main aim is to have fun! Scores will be available to hire on the day for £1 - please bring your own if you can!

Tickets for singers are £15 (£5 for under 19s in full-time education) 0117 962 4991

Please tell all your singing friends - the more people we have singing the more spectacular the day will be - there are nearly 2,000 seats in the Colston Hall, so let's try to fill them all!
